Exhibition
and arts activities by young artists for young people
This
is your final chance to see Generation, so don't miss it!
Mysterious
puppet-like shapes grow from the floor and a giant 'Griffin Bird'
hangs from the ceiling, see beautifully coloured hats and delicate
hangings. These weird and wonderful creations are the response of
4 young artists to a 7ft tall 17th-century bed hanging decorated
with a twisted tree, ornamental leaves and imaginary birds and animals.
The hanging comes from the Embroiderers' Guild 11,000-piece museum
collection, to which Karen Woods, Clare Proctor, Christine Keys,
and Joanna Waller have been commissioned to respond. Shown together
the contemporary work and museum piece make up Generation.
