Future
plans - relocation to Manchester
Although
the surroundings at Hampton Court Palace
are delightful, the Guild's accommodation
is now cramped and inadequate, due to
the successful expansion of its programme
and activities. Since 1996 the Guild has
been committed to establishing a centre
for embroidery, and to relocate from its
premises at Hampton Court Palace.
The
Guild needs to provide a national, and
international showcase which will demonstrate
and display the history, quality and potential
of embroidery, and which will be a centre
for its educational programme to benefit
the whole community, both national and
international. Using this centre as a
platform for its aspirations, the Guild
will be able to move towards fulfilling
its charitable objectives and vision.
