raise funds for the National
Embroidery Centre - Manchester.
CONGRATULATIONS to all our Members
- your fundraising efforts have
now reached over £200,000!
well done.The amount raised by Members up to 6th September 2005 has now reached £227,642.24 which includes the sum of £5,914.71 representing the tax reclaimed on Gift Aided donations up to 5th April 2005. Thank you all so much for your continued support which is very much appreciated..
GIFT
AIDED DONATIONS
We would like to express our sincere
thanks to all our Members who kindly
Gift Aided their donations. This
has proved to be so worthwhile as
it significantly enhances the amount
raised by Members towards the centre
of embroidery.
We can now confirm that the Guild
has been able to reclaim the tax
paid on Gift Aided donations (up
to 5th April 2004) to the amount
of £5,597.40.

& District Branch
Member Joan Matthews came up with
a block busting idea of raising
money in support of the new centre
fund - the Branch stitched bricks!

Members of Plymouth Branch have
made a traditional quilt which they
are raffling to raise funds for
the National Embroidery Centre -
Manchester.
The Draw will take place on the
20th January 2005. Tickets cost
20p or £1.00 per book, and
can be purchased from Susan Holmes

22nd June 2004 Diana Keay, Founder
of the Stow on the Wold Branch,
held a Mid-Summer evening at her
cottage in Lower Slaughter, Cheltenham
to raise funds for the Guild's new
centre. The event was enormously

got together in the summer for a
delightful day of Pimms and Beads
- and raised almost £400 for
the new centre. Our thanks go to
Val Aitken who opened her home and
garden, and all the ladies who made
